Karen Kaehler has a passion for native plants and pollinators. As a Pollinator Ambassador, Karen helps reach a wide audience across the state of Minnesota with news and information about the importance of pollinators for ecosystem health. Karen has been a Minnesota Master Naturalist since 2011, surveying bumble bees in Cass County, hosting research bee blocks on her lake property, writing articles for and editing her lake association newsletter, and developing new educational material for Pollinator Ambassadors. She has an undergraduate degree in biology and a masters degree in business, both from the University of Minnesota. She retired several years ago from the medical industry, giving her more time to focus on pollinators.
