Please join us for this fun and informative tour of the Como Woodlands led by Joan McKearnan. The nearly 18 acre Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom has eight native plant communities, 27 interpretive posts, paved and gravel trails, and restored historical features. The Classroom provides natural and cultural interpretation, a place for learning, and healthy habitat for native wildlife. Development of the Classroom was initiated with funding from the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) and Environmental and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF). The area is maintained by a large network of volunteers.
Location: Near 1151 Wynne Avenue.** Meet at the Kilmer Memorial Fireplace. We will try to have ribbons or signs to mark the way.
